    Unhappy PC Identification problem

    Hello DAL peoples,

I'm going to be trading my 360 for a PC hear in about two day hopefully. But I can't any information or anything. I was wondering if you could link me, or explain where I could get more information about the PC. He didn't know the model of the PC and I hoped you guys could find it.

    Dell Inspiron
    1.5 gigs of ram
    120 gig hd
    Cd/dvd burner
    19 inch dell lcd monitor
    Windows vista home OS
(he said the model was a 15xx or something close to that)

I know the information for the specs are slim, but that's all I got at the moment

    1. Go to Dell's site.
    2. Download System Information for Windows: SIW | Download to your Desktop.
    Get SIW Standalone (English-Only).
Double click on siw.exe to run the program.

    That would work,

But I don't have the PC, and he doesn't have Internet access. I was talking through his G1 phone. I'm going to meet with him half way tommarrow and use 2 power inverters to run our equipment. I also tried the Dell site and they give me the reach around when trying to find a model.

Ask him to look at the back of his laptop. It should have model number there.

I'm jus not trying to get screwed,

Have you ever traded a PC, if so is there anything I should do before finalizing the trade? (scans etc.)

I assume, you're not gonna have few hours to run hardware tests, so I'm not sure what else you can do beside turning computer on, and checking, if it works. Check specs, if they satisfy you.
Since it's laptop, I'd definitely get SpeedFan on USB stick, install it, and look at the temperatures after the laptop runs for a while.
