    Gateway USB 2.0 Webcam

Hey guys. A few months ago I reformatted my PC (Gateway 6860 FX Laptop) and I cant find a program to open up my built in webcam. I checked and I have a driver installed for it but I cant find any way to open up my webcam. Im running 64bit. Can anybody help me out with this?

Always worth trying the latest Gateway drivers:

Ive checked all of those but I dont think any of those are for webcam. But I did search a bunch more on Gateway and installed the driver I think is correct, and even went into control panel and uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, but still cant find a way to open up the webcam.

What program did you use to run it? That will have to be installed as well.

I cant find a program to run it. I believe i have the correct driver downloaded on my computer but my computer cant find any program that has anything to do with a webcam. Its very strage. I know a few other people online have had this problem.

There all kinds of programs that will use a webcam in different ways. You just need to find one that will do what you want it to do. I don't web cams so I can't point you to anything in particular. What you need to do is to go into device manager, find the webcam and make sure it doesn't have an exclamation mark or anything else beside it.

I think that movie maker will capture video but I've never done that. Worth looking into and it comes with XP & Vista.
