I have bought intel 845 GLVA board from a second hand shop the board is completely fine butthe onboard sound card is not detected in bios utilty I have upgradedthe bios also from intel web site but the problem is same could any one suggest me what to do thanks

Hi Hassan and welcome.

The only option you should see in the BIOS Setup Menu is the option to enable or disable the on-board sound device. If you want to use the on board sound, you obviously need to enable it - in effect, turn it on.

But then you must install the drivers so Windows knows how to communicate with it. You should have received a utilities disk. If not, check the same place you got the BIOS update for driver updates - or see here and note the top box on the right.
