Hi,

Basically during most boot ups my pc will reboot b4 it gets to the log in screen i.e. it boots up twice before i can use it.

another example: boots to log in screen then reboots then when logged in it reboots again then runs fine for 12 hours and reboots. Altho that last example is the most extreme i've had and has only happened to this severity once. My pc is about 1 year old and this has only just started happening about a few weeks ago - No hardware changes have been made and no viruses found.

this sounds similar to the problem im having. the main possible cause ive been given is that the cpu might be overheating. i was told how to check the temp by going into BIOS (usually by holdin del or an F button as the machine boots up) and then findin the temp readings in there and if the temps over 30 then there may be a problem with that. (Read my post which is a couple before this).
