Computer wont display on monitor after I upgraded it's PSU and Graphics card! Help!
Hello, I hope I am posting this in the right forum.
So recently I came into some money, and decided my computer could use some upgrading. I decided to get a GTX 260 core 216 for my computer. Realizing that I don't have a strong enough PSU I bought a 650w corsair with it. They arrived the other day and I happily set up my computer.
I had it working for a day then, during the middle of me just surfing the internet it froze. I just figured it was no big deal and I manually restarted my computer.
Upon restarting my computer, there was no input in the monitor. If I remove the video cable, it will say Check Video Cable, then when I plug it in it will say Monitor is going to sleep.
All of the fans turn on, and I know it goes into POST. I have tried removing the RAM 1 at a time and testing it. I have tried my old graphics card, still nothing, I have even tried my old graphics card (and new one) on a different monitor thinking it could be the monitor, but to no avail. I have also tried the method of unplugging your computer from the wall and holding the power supply, but that also did nothing.
I have actually gotten it to the desktop twice, but 14 seconds (I counted both times) after I get to the desktop it will freeze, then repeat the process of not being able to see anything on the monitor.
I am certain everything is back where it should be, I have no idea what to do next. Please help!

The only thing you have not done that I would do is clear your CMOS.
Depending on the motherboard there probably is a 3 pin jumper near that battery perhaps JBAT or CCMS or similar. If found remove the plug from the wall then change the jumper from 1 | 2 to 2 | 3 for a minute then change it back to 1 | 2 and plug it back in and try again.
If no jumper then remove the battery for a minute and replace etc.
If this has no good result it would be time to start tracing down the hardware at fault.

Thank you, I will try that when I get home and tell if it works. Another thing I was thinking is that my PCI-e could be faulty or fried. Could that be the problem?

Do you mean the slot? The motherboard?
It sounds like the monitor is fine. Doing what it should. It is simply not getting a signal.
If multiple cards give the same result we can sort of pass the cards.
Next we have RAM; motherboard; CPU; PSU.
I would redo all your PSU connections first off if the issue persists.
You can also get a tester for that PSU if you wish.

Another thing to try is try starting with all the RAM removed. If the motherboard is responsive it should madly beep at you. This would/should also apply if starting with no graphics card but perhaps a different pattern of beeps.

By PCI-E I ment the PCI-E slot, it's the only other thing I can think of that could be the error.
I will try the suggested fixes when I get home in 2 hours and tell if they worked or not.

Also, you said that the computer should madly beep with no graphics card in, yet when I tried starting it without a graphics card there were no beeps, just the normal POST sounds.

Does the motherboard have on board VGA?

Well assuming the motherboard speaker works it should beep.
Especially with no RAM.
Do you remember it beeping before?
Most all boards beep once when you start them.

I was saying it didn't beep with no graphics card, I haven't been home yet to do the no RAM thing.
When I get home I am going to try resetting the CMOS, then I will try the RAM, if all else fails then I don't know what to do.
