about 3 months ago i bought a new case and has got mic and headphone sockets on the front my problem is to use them i have to go into audio settings and change the default device from SB live! (sound card) to VIA AC'97 audio.
is there any way to get my sound card and front connectors to work at the same time instead of changing the settings every time.

What is the make and model of the card.

I think the only shot you have is if the card itself has the proper ports on it.

In other words rather than wiring the case wires to the motherboard you would wire them to the card.

Again this would assume the card has the proper internal ports to do so.

all i know is that it is Creative SB Live! Series and from what i can see it hassent got the same connection on it as the mobo
