    Computer Turning itself off

I recently upgraded my Video Card and my Computer Case. After Taking all the old components out of the old computer and putting them into the new case (and installing the new Video Card) when i turn my computer on it shuts off anywhere from 10 - 30 seconds of hitting the power button.

At first i thought that it may be my PSU because the new case has a few lights in it and a large amount of fans however I'm pretty sure that a 500w psu should do the job. Now i've never put a computer together myself before and I had a hell of a time figuring out where to get the cords to go (to be specific the Power Switch, Reset Button, & LED cords) so i may have done this all wrong. I'm not really the utmost computer savvy. aside from installing a new video card or replacing ram that's the most hardware experience i have. So i'm affraid I may have damaged something in the process of putting this computer together seeing as how i really didn't know what i was doing.

    Any Suggestions/Tips are greatly appreciated
    Thank You in advance.

Did your current RAM used to work on this board?

Did you remove the CPU heatsink when you changed cases?

You should also verify your front panel wiring is correct.

Is it a single plug or individual leads?

Page 2-17 in the mobo manual has the detailed layout of these connections.

Yes the ram has worked on this Mother Board Before
Yes i removed the Processor's Fan (Not sure if that's the CPU's Heatsink)
I'm fairly sure that the Wiring is correct. The Manual is kinda confusing to me, but I'm about 70 percent sure the wiring is correct.
And there is a combination of Grouped Leads and Individual ones. This is why i was getting so confused.

Thank you for the Quick Responses thus far.

EDIT: Could you by chance link where you found the Mother Board Manual? I'm gonna attempt to redo the wiring

Did you clean the thermal compound from the CPU and apply a fresh application?

If not you are probably simply overheating.

That worked! Thank you SO very much.

Alas now another problem arose. It keeps asking me for a boot device when i start my computer

    The Exact message is

"Reboot and select proper boot device, or insert a boot media" "Hit any Key to continue"

It can find nothing to boot.

Verify that the BIOS sees your hard drive and that that hard drive is set as the boot drive.

If it's not too much to ask will you give me a small guide on how to do that. Even though it may be a simple task i have no idea how to deal with things like that. Like i said i'm a noob

    Thanks in advance

First off I assume this hard drive was on this motherboard before?

If not you will need to reinstall the operating system.

    Manual is here:

    MSI -- MICRO-STAR INT'L CO., LTD.

    Read the BIOS Setup section.

If it is a SATA drive the proper SATA channel needs to set as the boot channel.

Anyway read it and ask any question you have.
