You said your usb mouse was not functional from a DOS boot so I suggested a PS/2 adapter to bypass USB driver issues.

If you have a local shop they should be a dollar or two at the most. Something like Radio Shack etc.

by the looks of that adapter i would have to get a old mouse that plugs into the back of the pc....the one with the round plug in on it and then put the adapter on it so that it will plug into the usb port?

both my mouses are "cordless trackman wheel" that already plugs into the usb port,

or

do i neet to get an adapter that goes from the usb to the round doohickey that plugs into the back of the pc? PS/2 to usb?

I will have one tomorrow, shoot ill just buy them both and call it good.
