Sounds like you don't have the correct Codecs. What's your Operating system?

Do the lines look something like below...

    Hi...

First...please post back your version of Windows. Are you Windows XP?

My screenshot was just an example...When you play music do you get the same thing? If so then that is just Windows Media Players "Visualizations".

If you don't have the proper Movie Codecs WMP will not display the movie...you will just get sound.

    You did not answer.

You can download and install the Vista Codec Package which is compatible for all versions on WinXP. I have installed this package myself...works great.

I'm unsure if it works on Vista (I believe it does since I intro-ed it to a friend and he's not complained but I didn't check), but I use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Yes you do. I've not tried the one Dobhar recommended, but my experience with K-Lite has been very good. Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic (comes with K-lite) can play any file I've thrown at it.

I am assuming of course the problem you are facing is due to the codec missing.

Please answer my question on whether you get the same visualizations when you play music...

If so then Yes you can download and install.

Also note that downloading and installing the "Vista Codec Package", which again is compatible with all version on WinXP, will not hurt PC.
