If you do not have the jumper sleeve I would do the remove battery option.
Is there anyway you can fix that speaker? The beeps that we can't hear would help point out the fault.
I am re downloading the manual as I didn't save it yesterday.
I will see if the board has other diagnostic features such as LED codes.
I will do this at the weekend jephree as I will have to remove the sound card and graphics as there not a lot of room and at this time of night my fingers feel like a bunch of bananas and I dont want to **** up. Thank you for your continued help, I will report back when I have done the battery option. Thanks

I am so sorry I did not mean to be rude jephree in not letting you know the outcome, it was very crass of me. I removed the video and sound card so that I could get my fingers down to the battery & removed shorted the board out for 10 seconds replaced battery, video & sound card. Re booted the system everything came up OK reset date time etc and everything was hunky dorey. Thank you very much for your help.
