Sorry dude I'm out of ideas.

I'd call ASUS and dig deeper with them.

Did they send you a brand new board? Did they refurbish the old one? If the latter perhaps they failed.

The other hardware in the equation is the PSU and the CPU.

If you boot with no RAM and do not get beeps or another POST error LED then something is still wrong with that board. Assuming the PSU and CPU are good.

Don't know what else to add at this point. Did you try taking it out of the case and attempt a boot on the off chance of a short to the case?

Just a thought but can you try a different PSU in that computer? Also a MB might give a errors by simply not having RAM in your computer so I don't see the point in trying it without it however if you are getting the same error without it then perhaps it isn't sensing your RAM. Did you follow the manufacturer's guidelines when you picked the RAM? Can you try other RAM in the computer of the correct specs?

With all due respect this is a basic test of a motherboard.

If you boot up a motherboard without RAM installed and if it does not sound all alarms you have a bad motherboard.

The OP indicates he hears no BEEPS.

I was thinking that he has a bad mb. Didn't you say that your ram worked in another computer. If you're ram worked in another computer then nothing is wrong with it but if it didn't it could be that it isn't the correct ram for the other computer.
