how to run 2 O/S on one computer
I would like to have some help changing my winxp system to also run win98se by installing a second hard drive and using a dual boot configuration, I have built my existing computer and it runs great now, I presently have the following hardware, asus mother board, 64 processor
3500+ 2.2ghz 1.0Gig/Ram, running winxp home edition, I also would like to know if my existing hardware will support dual O/S without a second hard drive? Thanks for your assistance Mitsy

you should get the model number for your motherboard & go to the asus' website & see if their are any drivers for 98/98 SE. If not [and they might not have any] then you shouldn't try this. You should also find out the information of your graphics card & get drivers for windows 98/98 SE. If there aren't any then you'll have poor graphics when running 98. 98 & XP can be put on the same hard drive however you must be careful. This is no trivial task & if you mess up you could lose all of your files. Read this article on dual booting 98/me and xp. It is easier & safer to install another drive but it is possible to do so on one hard drive however you'll either need to reinstall xp or buy special software. Read the article for more details. Keep in mind that microsoft is no longer supporting 98 & not too many drivers are written any more for it so you might want to reconsider.
