I wanted to see what the process would be for moving files from a desktop hard drive to a laptop hard drive? My desktop recently took a dump and there are some files that I would like to get off of the hard drive. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if not have you tried using a caddy to put the hard drive in or something like IDE/SATA to USB 2.0 > Maplin

I keep getting an unmountable boot error and I can't get it to boot from the XP CD. My hot water heater went up a few months ago and I believe it may have damaged the computer. Thanks for the link

can you get into the BIOS to alter so the CD boots first?

I've tried that and still have no luck
