you got it from the the manufacturers website i got it from the top of my head believe it or not a customer of mine brought one of these motherboards in a couple of weeks ago with the original manual it may be possible that the one he bought in was a different version or higher MHz was not supported when he bought it.
Ok,here's my latest plan.
I was going to find a processor for this old socket 462 board i'd put in my emachines tower, summat like this:ebay athlon 1.7ghz.
Then thought, why? It's a bit small,1.7ghz. So why not just find another emachines mobo, stick that in,and my emachines pc is all hunky dory again,as i like this tower.
Never simple is it! lol -
Tried to find the same board,Alaska3 mPGA478B (on the cpu housing), Trigem? Not much luck finding owt, then:
After loads of research it turns out that these emachines boards are cr@p.Here's one post of many, exactly the same symptoms,(strange pulsing power light, dead etc),and i also tried everything this 'pro' guy did: bin it
So now i'm lookin at one of these Asrock p4vm800 which i can just stick my own 2.7ghz cpu in?
EXCELLENT CPU SOCKET GUIDE

Umm, what did you expect? They are designed, manufactured, marketed, and sold as low-budget, entry level computers. That's all. After loads of research it turns out that these emachines boards are cr@p.
