I have just purchased an HP Photosmart C6280 all-in-one printer. The colours are very different from those showing on my monitor - reds are brown etc (plenty of inks!) I thought I should calibrate it but went to Adobe Gamma through the control panel but I seem to have lost the ability to merge squares etc as I have done before. Where am I going wrong or has my recent stay in hospital and all the pills and anaesthetics dulled my capabilities.

Sorry if the answer is all so simple but please can someone get me out of the hole before I need to print in colour (desperately)

Problem solved as I had to have a new hard drive since my post and the re-installation seems to have solved the problem

Thanks for posting a followup with that. I suspect installing the drivers set it all straight.
