Wonder if any one can help. I have software called System Mechanic and one of the things it can do is check the tempreture of the drives, I had been using the drive which stores my musicall evening and just chiling and listening to music the temp was 38c and was in the amber. Is the drive to hot and is it likly to fail, if this is likley I will have to back up the drive all 86 gigs of it.

It is not too warm but it does show your drive is working, but still fine. If worried, open your case and check to see if it supports adding a fan behind the front panel to blow cool air across the drives.

You need to back up your data anyway - even if every is running fine, which is a perfect time to backup.
