neither the dvd/cd drives are working,the lights flash but nothing happens. i did a system restore but no help. they both worked fine before i went on vaction & let my son use my computer. i tried to update the drivers but the units don't even show up on the device manager. any ideas?

By the way , it's a Gateway 710 desktop running Windows XP, thx, jim
