My computer powers and boots up but there is nothing showing on the monitor even though the light is on and I hear it start up. Somebody suggested it was the motherboard so I bought a new one but that hasnt solved the problem. Any ideas

did it suddenly stop working, have you tried you machine on another monitor or your monitor on another machine?
