No Hard Drive Found -Can Not Install New Windows
Well a while back my computer got infected with virtumundo a very bad and dangerous malware, but thanks to all of your help i was able to resolve my problem and am now safe and malware free.
I hate to regret that a few weeks after i was cleaned of this pest my computer totally crashed and i was forced to re-format my computer. But whenever i put in and boot up my Windows xp disc during start up, a problem occurs. After all the drivers laod during the windows set up during the blue screen it says "No major hard drive found can not continue setup."
So i went to find some help and somehow system restore that was built into the computer fully formatted my computer and got me back up and running. But i now have a new version of Windows i would like to install (Windows xp 64 gaming) The problem still persists.
And the weirdest thing about this little problem is i am running on Windows Xp currently and it works fine so obviously i have a hard disc drive. I tried to explain my problem the best i could. I hope you guys could give me some insight on what the problem may be.
Just to Recap - I am currently using and running Windows XP media center edition on the computer that has the HDD problem. My new and old xp discs reject the computer saying no HDD was found.
I've never had a problem with the HDD before, i know its installed and the hardware is fine because im able to run Windows xp off of it, just not allowing me to install any OS, "No Hard Drive Found" =[
If you could give me directions or a list of things to check for or try id be grateful, id rather do all of the tests and stuff now and get back to you with 1 solid post of everything.
Thank you so much for all of your help!
