    router slow down internet connection

hi guys, i got this D-Link airplus Xtreme G 2.4ghz. route. the problem is that after using my laptop for a little while lets say 30-40 min, the internet slows down, what i am doing now is that i reboot the router either by unpluging it or by going into the router set up page. after doing that the internet gets fast again by it is kind of annoying. is there something i can do about that or is it just the router?
i have upgraded to the latest firmware but still the same.

have you tried with wires to see if it's the router?

is somebody else using your wireless signal, is it secure?

if your secure there's less chance of someone using your internet connection.

has the router got loads of space around to keep it cool?

yeah, there is plenty of room around the router and it is in the basement which is cool down there. by the way i still haven't try connecting it with wire.

is your PC in the basement as well, are you getting interference from any other electrical apparatus?

has your laptop got built in wireless?

is the router a new one?

try it with wires and see if that's any better.

interference can occur from various pieces of electrical apparatus.
