Yeah, I have tried that. Oh and I did a bit of experimenting on my own, and found out that the disk, hard-drive, and cd drive are working fine. I placed them in another rig and tried them out, finding everything in working order. So now, I just installed windows on the hard drive using my other computer, and it seems to be working fine. Will there be any problems for me later? I heard windows makes specifications according to your hardware.

Yes, there will be big problems because as you noted, Windows configures itself for the hardware it is installed on. In particular, all the MANY devices that are integrated into the motherboard are configured as separate devices with separate drivers.

You may be able follow Michael Stevens XP Repair Install to reconfigure, but again, that requires you to boot to CD. If your computer will not, then you have something wrong with your motherboard, BIOS, or the cable.
