Computer won't turn on with ethernet network card

    Hi,

I have an XP desktop, and currently it won't turn on with the Ethernet card inserted into the motherboard. Power does go to the motherboard because if I remove the ethernet card it does turn on normally.

There are no beeps when it turns on or anything out of the ordinary.
I have switched slots to see if that was the problem and still the same thing.
I have checked to make sure that all the cables are plugged in correctly.
I have removed and put back in all the external hardware parts and put them back in, and cleaning the ports.
I have checked it for virus, and cleaned all unwanted registers with CCleaner.
There is a light on the motherboard even with the ethernet card in it. And the computer will turn on with the ethernet card in but after 30 minutes or so after you press the power button.

I have replaced the ethernet card with a newer one and still the same thing.

Any help will be appreciated thanks.
