Hello everyone

Be kind its my first post on here.. I have an Ei system 2020 and want to install a new HDD, i have a Hitachi travelstar which is giving me problems on start up so i want to buy a new one, but which one do i buy ???. I have been looking at many different ones without really knowing which is right. IE: do i go for the IDE or can i fit a EDIE or even a ATA...
The Drive now has a slide holding the old one in place that converts the IDE male pins to Female slots. can anyone please make it clearer to me as a bit confused as to which i can put in.

That drive is a 2.5" SCSI IDE drive.

Do you have a "Full Install CD" for XP as well as a driver CD?

Yes i have a recovery disc but not an up todate disc. I have now tried to use the recovery disc but it is still coming up with failer notices, i have tried to format the computer but half way through it fails so at this point i am thinking its a hard drive problem which will end in swopping out the HD.
