this is what i did i wiped the hard drive with boot nukem but i did it overnight and when i got up both drives were wiped. i am going to look at the drives and will get bck to you soon .

yes the seagate has the os on and the maxtor is 114 gbs free .ive got totally confused i always thought the os was always on the c drive. the pc is running fine and i dont have any problems , i just want to say srry for putting you thro all that effort and like to thank you for your time and patience.

In general the OS will go to C:

When I install any OS I usually physically disconnect all other drives.

I can only assume the Nukem just sort of left both drives "up for grabs".

Again it is a pretty good setup the way you have it. If you ever need to reinstall XP you can have your important data to the 120GB.
