Okay a somewhat related question, how often should one clean a laptop? And are there ways to maintain it so that we don't have to clean it so often? Does laptop coolers help?

Not related enough, so I split this post out.

How often should you clean a laptop? Often enough to keep it clean. There is no way to put a time table to this. How clean the laptop gets depends on the laptop, the environment, and how many hours per day it is running.

Other than don't eat, drink or smoke around your laptop, and keep it in an clean environment, I know of no way to minimize dirt build up, other than not running it.

Laptop coolers help keep laptops cool, but do nothing to help keep them clean.
