Hi guys I was just wondering if there is any way I can extend the USB cable with a cat5 cable like cut the USB cable in half and add a cat5 cable in between? I don't what to go to long just about 20 feet so maybe add another 10 feet in betwen the 10 feet USB.
No. I posted it as what I would consider the easiest solution.
Are you familiar with building cables?
From what I see 15' is a maximum for USB but I do not know if a CAT cable has the proper wires involved.

Anyway I thought a few dollars for an extension cable was the best bet.

I build cat5 networking cable most of the time.
Well if the wires are the same I see no problem other than the 15' limit.
From what I read after 15' the USB needs a "repeater" or booster to maintain the signal.

Dude this is is something i found by browsing internet + I will try it in a couple of days, Inshallah it will work and not every wire is hooked up they are hooked by preferences of current/data flow i think and if it deoesn't work I will attach a usb hub at the end I hope that will help, LOVE FROM PAKISTAN
