I've got an Acer Aspire 5670 with a Panasonic (Matsu****a) UJ-845-C DVD RW drive, which died a few months ago (it won't read/write at all, it just spins up and does nothing) and I'm having a bit of a hard time getting hold of a replacement. The warranty ran out a while ago, so that option is gone.

My question is this... are there any other drives that I could use in place of this one or can anyone point me in the direction of a new one?

I'm getting pretty sick of having to borrow my housemate's external drive and then having nothing when I'm out of the house so I need to replace it.
