My laptop died yesterday, issues with dc section, adapter, and the fan. all conked off. battery is dead too.

I have a lot of data in my laptop hdd, which I need to copy. how do i do that?

I dont have another laptop where I can simply unmount the hdd and load it there. is there some other method to copy data off my hdd?

You could remove the laptop hard disk and copy the data to a desktop machine through a 2.5" drive to 3.5" drive data adapter. (IDE interface shown)

If you can't find the part shown above, which may be hard to get your hands on at some retail stores, you can pick up an external enclosure and transfer them via usb. You wouldn't even have to open up your case if your not comfortable with that. Just make sure the enclosure supports 2.5" laptop drives in addition to the standard 3.5" desktop ones.
