I have a bit of an issue with my drive.
When I want to burn CDs from Itunes, it is fine, works no problem, but i burnt a DVD Data disc recently, and it wouldnt read it at first, I selected my computer to show the drive, and I had to press refresh about 4 times, and eventually it came up.
And again recently, I had a DVD data disc that someone had burnt for me, and no matter how many times I clicked refresh, it still says please insert disc when double clicking on the drive.
The disc works fine, as I have it in my laptop no problem.
Could this be linked to the fact that I now also cannot click right click, and then send to...either mail recipient or drive E???

There are two different laser lenses in a combo drive, one for CD's, and one for DVD's.

Your problem may be either;

1. lens(es) are dirty
2. the (DVD portion) of the drive is dead or dying

Try a CD/DVD drive (lens) cleaner, available at most computer stores.
