As to that other poster I don't know what happened. It was three years ago and I asked how they fixed it but they did not reply. You could try a Private Message. Three years is quite a while.

As to BellSouth I would call them up and just say you cannot setup a connection.

You will be talking to some guy in India and it will be tedious but perhaps they can check you through the setup.

I too use BellSouth (AT&T). I have dealt with their support several times and although it isn't very good perhaps they can give you a basic idea as to what the connection or setup issue is.

Worth a try.
