    Re: many blue screens!please help...

ok i thought about it and maybe the problem is in the BIOS options for the CPU/memory sticks.
i have AMD athlon X2 4800+ brisbane and it's running on voltages from 1.2 to 1.23 with a core speed of 2500MHz (12.5X multiplier).
the current setting in the BIOS are all on auto right now. should i manually put for example the voltage on 1.25?

and the current voltage of my memory is 1.8V (this is my memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231098). should i maybe put it manually on 1.9V?

    thanks...

Leave the CPU voltage for now. Set the RAM voltage to 1.9V. If it still crashes then try 2.0V. If your timings are 5-5-5-15 then 2.0V should be enough to rule out RAM voltage being the problem. CPU-Z will tell you the timings (memory tab).

may i ask what exactly do this "voltage" thing means?
i know it makes the memory to work harder (and hotter) but what wxactly does it do?

i changed the memory voltage to 1.9 in BIOS but it keeps showing a voltage of 1.8 on CPU-Z in windows....
is there another way to change the voltage?

    Hi..

Being a Microsoft Windows User every body gets used to the BOD that is blue screen of death.. here is a link for you that you may find handy to get along to have some error code detection and troubleshoot

I've seen this webpage before. It's poorly written, very difficult to read.......

That's a horrible web page. If you want that info it is here:

    http://www.aumha.org/a/stop.htm

Not to mention this thread has gone way beyond such basic troubleshooting.

I would leave the BIOS set to Default.

Are you saying the CPU multiplier is 12.5 at Default?

    That appears odd.

Did you load the latest BIOS?

    yes it's the default...
    200MHz X 12.5 = 2500MHz
