Hi everyone, I hope this is in the correct part of the forum, apologies if not.

Here's my problem, my computer wont let me open new progs or indeed do anything if it has been on a while. It's like it's low on RAM or maybe the computer isn't clearing the RAM as it goes??? Hard to explain but say I have been doing emails and then open my pictures folder, it wont let me double click or left click on any pictures or if I then go to the start menu it wont open any of the progs. Or if I'm in a paint prog it wont let me save stuff or open anything. I have to reboot but then it happens again after a little while. Say I have 3 different progs open and it wont let me do anything in one of them, if I close one of the others the first prog will work but then that will stop again after a while. As I say it's like it low on RAM, can only do one thing at a time and eventually it wont do anything unless I reboot. Any ideas??? Btw, the actual laptop came with a lot of RAM, in fact it was the highest RAM in the shop so I don't believe that is the problem, especially since I can just have "My Pictures" open and nothing else but it still wont work.

What is the verbatim error message?

Are you sure it says RAM or just Memory?

Memory is also on your Page File which begs the question how much free space is on your hard drive?

Have you done any cleaning, defragging, etc., lately?
