I have a Lite-on DVDRW SOHW 832S. This drive is a 8x and I am using 16x discs, the drive speed when burning is 2x. What do I need to do in order to burn the 16x discs at full speed?

External or internal drive?

If internal, is the burner set as the Master on its residing IDE channel? (Lite-on drives "dislike" being set as SLAVE on some machines.)

What is the DMA setting for the drive? (Check its Properties in Device Manager.)

Are you using media which is recommended by Lite-On?

Do you have the latest firmware for the drive?
