Unhappy Converting VHS tapes to DVD using the PC

We are looking to downsize our home, my wife has a massive film library of films and box sets on video to DVD via my PC. I assume they may be right protected, is there a way of converting to DVD as they take up so much room (401 not counting the video's she has recorded off the TV) any suggestions

Yes, you can convert VHS to DVD on your PC using a USB Video BUS to attach your computer & video device; you will also need software such as VideoWave. This method is very time consuming & takes a lot of resources.

With the large number of tapes that you have (401 plus) I would suggest that you would be better off purchasing a DVD recorder. I borrowed a Sony DVD recorder from a friend of mine to copy some of my old home movies & the thing was great, Just connect to your vhs player push play & on the recorder push record...

I am not sure about copying of protected tapes.
