Display screen turns black
I'm not really sure what category to put this in but I suspect it to be a video card issue so I'll try this forum. Anyway
My computer screen has been blacking out on me lately. I will be surfing the net and the screen will go black, but my computer will stay on and keep running. It almost seems like it freezes up when this happens. The monitor will stay on and still function on other inputs when this happens.
Also it only seems to be happening when I'm on the internet and also only on certain websites. But, If I reset my computer it will restart just fine. Then typically if I try to get back on the site I was just on it will happen again.
This seems really weird to me anyone have an idea of what is going on?
I'm running XP and I have a 32inch philips LCD screen. My video card is a XFX GeForce 6800 Xtreme. HELP!!!

Is this a new problem or an always problem?
It almost seems like it freezes up when this happens.
Ctrl+Alt+Delete does nothing?

What other inputs?
only on certain websites
Examples?
I have a 32inch philips LCD screen.
Is this a Monitor or a TV out?
Do you have another monitor to try just to verify if it too will fail on these sites?
What is your Resolution? One guess is that some sites cannot handle your resolution.

This is a monitor not a tv out but it has a remote like a TV and it has multiple inputs like HDMI and S-video. This is a new problem been happening for bout 2 weeks now. One of the sites is madhacker.org but it won't just go black right when I get to the site I will be on th site for a little bit maybe a minute and then black.
Clt-alt-del does nothing and I try to shut the monitor off and turn it back on again but still black.I'll try hooking up another monitor and see what happens.

Well I figured out what was wrong. Not too long after the post my computer started freezing much more frequently. I figured out that the power supply was bad. The 3.3v was not supplying enough power it was only getting about 2.7-2.8v. I'm not sure what would cause this but I swapped out the PS with one that has the same watts and it's working good again. Any one know if I could fix the PS.

Thanks for the update.
Unfortunately I don't know of any way to "fix" a PSU.
