    Exclamation HELP!!! Processor Clips

I wanted to take a look inside my Dell to see what the processor looked like under the heatsink and everything. I took off the heatsink and opened the little arm which holds it in. When I put it back in, the processor arm made a snap sound and broke. I plugged it back in and put the heatsink on. When I put pressure on the heatsink, the fan starts up. When I let go of it, the fan stops. Same with when its booting. How do I get a replacement arm, and is it within my Dell warranty? Is there something that I can use to safely hold the processor down while I use it? Can I use a household tape??? PLEASE HELP!

Oh dear, well you could try out Dell's warranty as you have nothing to lose, but I'm pretty sure as soon as you open that case up and damage something that its invalidated. Like I said though its worth a try. Other than that what spec machine is it? you could pay for a new mobo or get a computer specialist/technician to repair it for you.
