    I guess this is it?

    Do you have another power supply yet? I (still) think we're looking at;

    "...It indicates one (or more) of three main elements;

    Power Supply is (partially) burned out. (It may have enough "power" left to light up some LEDS or spin a fan, but one or more of the main rails are shot. Probably your case with the info supplied thus far.)

    Motherboard is damaged. (This can happen with a bad/under-powered power supply.)

    CPU is damaged. (Same as above.)

    Thats my computer lol. I'm currently trying to get one of my friends to let me borrow their PSU. But convincing a 15 year old who knows nothing about Hardware to lend their PSU to their friend is proving difficult. There's no point buying a new PSU for 50 pounds to find out that it's not a PSU related problem. I'll post again when I get a PSU. Thanks for the help so far =]

    Okay, something new. My friend said the battery might have died out, so I replaced it with a new one I bought from the store. No changes so far...

    Sorry for double post, but I forgot to mention that the light on my motherboard is orangy yellow. Probably a faulty PSU?

    If the mobo light was a different colour before, then yes, probably the P.S. A power supply tester can be purhased at any good computer store for about $20.00 (U.S.?). If you want to make that investment to check your P.S. to be sure before you shell out more for a new P.S.............

    If it was the battery, when you power on, the P.S. takes over. Usually signs of a dead/weak battery are time/date wandering, and your hard disk parameters being lost (heads/sectors/cylinders). But once you power on and set things right again (disk parameters), the machine works fine as long as it's not powered down.

    i opened my PSU to check and see if the big cylinder thingys were damaged (forgot what they were called). But I saw no yellow stuff leaking out, and the top part wasnt popped. I took out my battery from my old computer and stuck it in this mobo, and it still don't work..

    No visual damage doesn't mean it's not bad.

    (Those "cylinder thingys" are called Capacitors.) ;>)
