    mouse power up pc

I've acquired a PC (no known manufacturer), but has Phoenix bios, don't know the motherboad. It's probably a couple of years old, and never been used.

It has an on/off switch at the back.

I power down the PC, and it goes off.
The optical mouse is still lit and if I click either left or right mouse button the PC powers up.

Anyone know why. Is there a setting in the bios I can change to stop this.

    Regards,

    Rannoch

Does it restart directly into windows? Indicating hibernation.

Or does it restart into the BIOS?

Either way check your BIOS Setup for "Wake On" settings.

    Jephree, you've done it again.

Found wakeup on ms ps2, which was enabled on click. Changed to disable, and mouse no longer powers up the pc.

The mouse is still lit, but I guess that's simply because the power is still on because the on/off switch at the back of the pc is on.

    Thanks again,
