I am able to connect my Acer travelmate laptop to my Sony Bravia TV.

The TV picks up the laptop ok and I can use the TV screen as a monitor, however, whn I play an AVI file through the laptop it opens up ok and plays on the laptop screen but does not play on the TV.

Everything is on the TV screen the media player, sound but just no picture.....

I have changed screen resolutions of both the TV and Laptop but with no luck..

I want to play AVI's / video clips from my laptop on the TV.

Any ideas ???
