I just tried to burn my first dual layer DVD and get a "power calibration error"
also saved the following error log :-

Any Ideas ??
is a a firmware issue ??

My writer is not a SONY DVD RW DRU-710A
this is just the firmware I flashed it with due to having problems ages ago with 16x discs.
it is a SONY but cant remember which model it was a newer drive than the 710A, but there were no firmware updates for it at the time.

UPDATE :----
just flashed drive with latest firmware update :- BYX5
and its still the same !!!!

any help anyone ?????
does this mean my drive is fooked ??
still writes DVD5 OK ( single layer)
but get power calibration error on DVD9 ( dual layer)
