    Logitech G7 - Very annoying....

So i bought this G7 from eBay in August, used. For a while now ive been having problems with it. It seems like it disconnects A LOT! Well not really disconnects, but it will become very unresponsive for 5-20 seconds, during this time it will just be frozen.

I have no idea what im going to do. This mouse is going to be broken soon if someone doesnt help me! Everytime it freezes/disconnects i just get SOO MAD thinking that i spent 50$ on a damn mouse that works like ****, so bash it on my desk or throw it at my wall.

Hmmm... a used mouse about to be abused.

Sounds like a battery issue. Do both batteries do the same?

I have all Logitech cordless and have never had a problem.

Do you have Set Point installed?

Batteries both run out in a day(which is normal from what i hear).

I just installed Setpoint to see if it will make any difference. But while i was installing it, it told me i was missing a file in driver cache called mouhid.sys. I could replace it, if it would make a difference. I just need that file from somewhere...seems that before when i had no troubles installing setpoint i had options to change around the DPi of my mouse. Now there's nothing like that..

i just uninstalled Setpoint, i just cant stand it. Maybe if i try getting that mouhid.sys back, it could fix it..?

Alright. It seems that even with mouhid.sys it likes to disconnect. Now mouhid.sys and setpoint also disconnects/freezes.

I have no idea what to do.

Have you tried removing and then reinserting the dongle?

Did this guy ever work OK?

There may be a reason that this was sold as a used mouse.

Do you have another computer to try it on?

Have i tried reinserting the little dongle? Yes. Just about everytime it freezes i do. I also switch USB ports often.

I cant remember it actually freezing like this when i first got it...but it may have. Something must have provoked me to smack it a lot!

Yeah i just emailed the guy a few days ago, he said it was working fine for him He suggested i get Setpoint, but that was no help.

That was going to be my next thing i try. I was going to let me brother try it out for a day and see if it freezes on him.

oh man...we better hurry up with this problem, this mouse is going to be in pieces VERY soon!
