Hi.
I have a mobo ECS 845E-A800 rev. 1.0 that is giving me some trouble. I get a beep code signal that does not correspond with any list when I put the power on. The bios is Phoenix and the sound is a 10 second long single beep repeated all the time. I´ve disconnected everything exept the ram from the board and still getting the signal. Does any body have a clue to the cause of this?
That generally does mean memory. You could try reseating the memory modules - carefully pulling and reinserting - this scrapes clean the contacts.
How many memory modules do you have? If more that one, try one and see what happens - then swap with the other(s).
Be sure to observe necessary ESD precautions to ensure static from your body does not destroy any sensitive devices.
You are right. it took me a while to borrow a friends ramblock , but when i put it it worked fine so now i´ll have to buy a new set thanks for your help and sorry for the delay.
You're welcome, no problem, and thanks for the followup.set thanks for your help and sorry for the delay
