My computer is a prisoner of Power Saver Mode. The computer will not boot, a long and 2 short beeps then shows Power Saver Mode. This appears to be a common problem with many uncommon solutions. Replace motherboard, power supply or turn off for a month have been some solutions. I did remove battery from board almost powered up then went to Power Saver Mode again. IBM 8311 with Windows XP and DSL.
Any help greatly appreciated.

The beep codes indicates Display adapter problem (MDA, CGA)

Can you post a more detailed spec of the machine please.
