Hi guys. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. My monitor keeps flashing off whenever I click something online...for example if I go to cnn.com and click different news links or open different tabs in firefox, the monitor flashes off for a few seconds, and often things freeze for a moment. It only happens when on the net...no other programs seem to trigger it, and it only happens when clicking a link. I'm running xp, using a mag flatscreen. I've switched monitors and videocards and it keeps happening. Any ideas?

My first guesses would have been either the monitor, or the video card.

Does it do it with IE?

Have you run through a complete scan for malware? (See Cleaning Out Malware)

Have you made any hardware changes lately? When did this problem start?

As Digerati told it might be either the monitor, or the video card problem, you simply change the video card or remove for a while and see what happens ...

Chung - thanks for your input, but you need to read what's going on. Servo stated in his opening post that he DID swap cards and monitor. And in my post, I acknowledged that by quoting him! And I note if he removes the card as suggested, that would make viewing the monitor a bit difficult.
