Keyboard/Mouse issues (new build)
I've just built a new box and everything seems to be working fine, lights on in all the right places and that, except that is, for the keyboard and mouse, which don't seem to have any power at all (optical mouse isn't lighting up, nor is the keyboard responding to anything).
I have tried with another keyboard and mouse that I know work, but still nothing.
The motherboard is an Asus A8N-32 SLi Deluxe, I'm not sure what else would be relevant.
Thanks in advance.

USB or PS/2?
If the former try the latter. The USB drivers might be on the motherboard CD.
-
The keyboard is PS/2 and the mouse is USB, I'm not really fussed about the mouse right now, but I need the obviously need the keyboard for setup.
Edit: I forgot to mention this is the first time the PC has been run, I can't see any other apparent problems.

The keyboard never flashes the Lock lights?
Does the motherboard appear to boot OK?
Does that board have an on-board LED for error codes?
Are you sure all your power connections are good and proper? Main and 12V? Any axillary SLi power connections on that board?

Everything is hooked up ok, I've double checked all the power and connections. I get no action from the keyboard at all, no lights, nothing. Everything seems to be booting fine. There is a single LED but that just indicates that there is power.

Just to verify:
You do get the BIOS POST on the monitor? Just dead input devices?
And sorry for the perhaps silly question but are you sure you have the keyboard in the keyboard port and not mouse port?
If yes and all at some point one has to consider a faulty motherboard and returning it.
-
All I get on the monitor is a screen giving me the option of pressing DEL to enter setup, or pressing something else to see the POST.
Haha, yeah, the port was the first thing I checked. Looks like I'm returning it then. Thanks for the help. =]

im not too sure you probably already checked this, but did you make sure all your conections are correct? Like the onboard connections and stuff like that. Check your motherboard manual to make sure that your connections on your motherboard are corretly connected, then if it fails and they are all connected, well i guess you'll have to return it
-
Everything looks to be connected fine, but the situation has now changed slightly.
The keyboard is now working, as I can get past the "Press DEL to enter setup" screen, but I can get no further than "Entering Setup...".

You could try flashing the board with the latest BIOS but I'd return it.
Too many issues for new hardware.
