Question ATI graphics after windows reinstallation

    hello,

i just reinstalled windows xp on my old pc and everything went fine until i decided to turn off to install an ethernet adapter.

on the reboot the monitor did not work. (which was wierd because it did work AFTER the reinstallation)

i think the problem is the drivers being uninstalled and i have the drivers on a disk from when i got the pc

the problem is i cant see what i am trying to install as the monitor does not work.

    any suggestions???

    thanks in advance!!!

You should see something even without drivers. The VGA will kick in.

Does the monitor LED go to green then switch to amber? Do you get a "No Signal Input" message?

hi, well i just got it working through guesswork to where the buttons are and hitting enter.

it took a couple of goes but i got there.

i inserted the disk on another computer to see where the buttons i needed to press were, then i mimicked it to my pc.

bit of a botch i know but hey!!

ps. there was no signal at all from my pc to the monitor
and the graphics card was an ATI rage 128 (old skool!)

thanks for the help anywho, greatly appreciated.
