Using TV as monitor HELP!
I have my computer hooked up to my 32 in. Olevia 232T (which is the Target brand model for 232V). My computer has DVI and my tv has HDMI, so I bought a DVI to HDMI cable and hooked them up. The problem I face is that whenever I turn my computer on first, and then I turn my tv on, I get "No Signal" in the lower left until I unhook either the HDMI or DVI port and then plug it back in. However, if I turn the tv on first, the computer shows up right away. I called Olevia and they didnt help at all. They said it was some sort of syncing problem and that is it, they couldnt suggest anything. I just want to know how to display my computer without worry which to turn on first.
Oh....and this also applies to the screen saver. If my computer screensaver is on and then I turn on the tv and move the mouse, it shows up, however, if the screensaver is on and I move the mouse and THEN turn the tv on, it doesnt show up.
I'm sorry If I made this very confusing. I REALLY appreciate the help!!!!!!

Sorry mate but its a common problem. I have it with mine i just learnt to live with it, until i found out that if i turned the PC on then the TV all i had to do was go onto the AV channel and it turned the PC screen on by connecting to a channel i nvr heard of lol. You'll just have to make sure you turn the TV on first!! lol
Sorry couldn't bring better news

hey, thanks for the reply! I have actually figured out a temporary way to fix this problem. I went into my ATI video card settings and, from there, created a hotkey that switches the computer between two monitors. Since there is only one monitor, it switches to itself and magically turns on.
