    Computer wont start up

when i went to bed my comp was working fine, i woke up and tried to boot it up it just showed the IBM start up then went to a black screen then back to the IBM screen and made 2 beeps...on http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1223 it says 2 beeps is a POST/CMOS Error, but i dont know what that is. if anyone knows what the problem is please respond.

NOTE: my brother said he "tripped" over something, i checked all the cables made sure they were all in and everything but still nothing

If he tripped over something, I would unplug the computer, open the case and make sure all connections, cables, cards, RAM, fans, etc. are securely fastened. While in there, make sure the system is clean of dust and dirt.

Then connect it all up again and boot in the BIOS setup menu - you do this by watching the boot process and when prompted to enter the BIOS setup menu, hit the designated key.

Once in there, make sure all your drives are identified correctly, and the date and time are correct. If fine, save and exit then see if it boots fine.

Yes, a loose/bad connection, or damaged cable. And if his trip ended up sending the computer across the room, the damaged hard drive, or even damaged motherboard caused by undue stresses around the CPU socket from the weight of the heatsink fan.
