MS-6511 motherboard problem
My object is to replace the MS-6511 ver 1.0 motherboard in the bulk-system it was sold in. I was never given the MS-6511 mobo itself so I can't look any hints from it. The casing it was originally sold with has naturally the same front-usb-port-cable-order which is not right for the new one. Still, I would really, really like the front ports to work.
This is the most accurate info of the original mobo I have been able to find:
http://support.packardbell.com/globa...ppn=p480100408
The original cable looks like this (so the motherboads pins/sticks/things are mirrored):
__=__
|12345|
|6´78´|
`-----´
1 = yellow
2 = thick black(?)
3 = blue
4 = thick light brown(?)
5 = thin black(?)
6 = thick red
7 = transparent green
8 = white
(?) means that I'm color-blind and not 100% certain of the color. Sorry.
The motherboard I'm replacing it with is this (sorry for the link-monster):
http://download.aopen.com.tw/Downloa...tion=10&DL=yes
On the page 45 there is the recquired order.
So...
a) If anyone of you would happen to have a same kind of picture of the MS-6511-usb-pinning-order
or
b) could just tell me which of the cables 1-8 go where in the numbered places 01-10 (see below), I would be elliptic of joy (a finnish saying meaning very happy).
____==____
|0102030405|
|0607080910|
`-----------´ (cable end, still mirrored)

to my knowledge, you are a very unlucky, since you cannot use your front usb panel from your ms-6511 explorer mb on any other.
the reason is, that the usb header (USB2) on ms-6511 is a really unstandardized one and uses following pin assignments:
GD|GD |D1- |GD|D1+
__ |D2-|D2+|__ |VCC
where GD=ground, VCC=+5V
take it easy! regards.
