I have a Lite On DVDRW LDW411s and it will not read cds or cdrs only dvd, r, rw,...

I recently installed vista but I had XP before,
but I hardly ever use cds I just wanted to listen to a music cd I got and it won't play it.

try a lens cleaner, I think the dvd lens is seperate to the cd lens

When you say that it doesn't play it, do you mean that it doesn't even detect the CD, doesn't open Windows Media Player and doesn't pop up the message asking you what you want to do (if you're on Windows XP) ........ or do you mean that it looks like it's going to work but no sound comes out?

It doesn't detect it at all it just says no disc insert disc and I have vista.
